Architecture & Design

Turn requirements and constraints into a design teams can review and implement.

Architecture work makes important decisions explicit before they become expensive to change. A useful design connects business and operational objectives with applications, integrations, platforms, performance, reliability, security and the people who will operate the result.

Establish the design boundaries

CodeAttest begins with the current system, the decision to be made and the requirements that constrain it. Those may include integration dependencies, cloud or Kubernetes platforms, observability, deployment practices, capacity, recovery and operational ownership. The relevant viewpoints depend on the system and the agreed scope, rather than a fixed set of diagrams.

Current architecture and operational evidence help distinguish a real constraint from an inherited assumption. Where several options remain viable, the design records their trade-offs and the conditions under which each would work.

Make implementation decisions reviewable

The work defines target boundaries, component responsibilities and the relationships between systems. It considers how data and telemetry will flow, how services will be deployed and operated, and which dependencies must be addressed before change can proceed. Teams responsible for building and running the solution review the design so that unresolved assumptions do not disappear into implementation.

The resulting material may include current-state findings, target architecture views, key decisions, constraints and risks, and an implementation or migration sequence where needed. Its level of detail is set by the decisions the receiving teams must make.

When design work is useful

This service fits a new platform or major system change, modernization or migration planning, an architecture that no longer supports operational needs, or a situation where several teams need a shared technical direction. To discuss the design question, contact us.
